GCNA Presents - The Pump Room and Stanley Paul

Date: Sunday, April 24, 2016

Time: 5:00 p.m.

Location: The Public Hotel

Please join Gold Coast Neighbors Association on Sunday, April 24, 2016, at five o’clock, in the Public Hotel, 1301 N. State Parkway, for this fascinating presentation on one of the most glamorous parts of our neighborhood’s outstanding history.

The History & Education Committee invites you to a fun evening, where the legend of the Pump Room will come to life. Our main speaker is Chicago's famed maestro, Stanley Paul, who opened at the Pump Room in The Ambassador East on December 2, 1964. Stanley and his Orchestra graced the Pump Room for the next ten years. It was the famed watering hole of the best known and most admired celebrities in the world. It was said, "Anybody who was anybody wanted to be seen at the Pump Room and to dance to the orchestra of Stanley Paul." Today, on the corner of State and Goethe Streets, one can find the honorary designation "Stanley Paul Way".

Tickets purchased are Will Call only and will be at the door.

Due to extreme popular demand, we are currently SOLD OUT.
